Gucci creative director Frida Giannini has really been at the top of her game lately, and the Gucci Spring 2012 collection makes it clear that she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Carrying on last season's huge metallic trend, the Gucci Spring 2012 show is predominantly made up of black and white sharp-tailored suits with green and metallic accents. Seemingly inspired by the early 20th century art deco era, the Spring collection is utterly flawless.
The models wore intense, heavy smoky-eye makeup and slicked-back ponytails with a slight poof at the top (no Snooki 'dos to be found here), only adding to the stunningly exaggerated toughness of this collection.
Although this is the first show of Milan Fashion Week, it's safe to say that the genius of Frida Giannini will ensure that the Gucci Spring 2012 collection will be a contender for show of the week.
