The brand's newest initiative centers around food waste and marks its renewed commitment to help put a stop to the growing global issue.
Fusing sleek aesthetics with tech-enabled smart features, the newest Grundig home collection was recently unveiled at IFA 2017 in Berlin -- an immersive conference spotlighting the latest in smart home innovations. The brand's collection includes everything from a multi-door smart cooling refrigerator. The product is equipped with a Realtime Inventory Tracking system which works by monitoring food freshness while eliminating food waste in the process.
Other notable Grundig launches include the brand's Virtual User Experience Technology (VUX®) which allows kitchen users to control all devices, and appliances from one source which is embedded directly into their countertop.
When discussing Grundig's ongoing commitment to sustainabilty, Zeynep Özbil, the Global, Head of Communications at Arçelik Group explains that "It’s all about enhancing lives at Grundig. As an industry that shapes household consumption behaviour, we are responsible for developing effective solutions to protect the world’s limited resources, like water, energy and help reduce food waste, globally."
