Using smart technology created by the Hasso Plattner Institute in Germany, the GravitySpace floor is a revolutionary way to infuse high-tech features into the interior design of a home or other building.
The smart floor tracks the movement of people and objects in a room through the use of its high-resolution, pressure-sensitive surface that can calculate the positioning and geometry of items in direct contact with it. The pressure-sensitive surface appears like a mirror, reflecting the layout of the room, but it is actually presenting a reconstruction of the scene based on its data. With this conceptual technology, people can keep track of room layouts and any movement that even surveillance cameras could miss.
Without encroaching on space, the GravitySpace floor visualizes scenes within a room.
