The conceptual 'Gravitation' controller is an aftermarket accessory for smartphone gamers to incorporate into their existing setup to help them enjoy their choice of title in an immersive manner from anywhere. The gaming controller setup works by having a smartphone docked in the middle between the two halves and will go to work offering players a more dedicated way to interact in the digital space. The system also features a stabilizer functionality that will allow the grips to rotate independently and keep the smartphone horizontal when playing racing games for a wheel-inspired functionality.
The conceptual 'Gravitation' controller is the design work of Compal Electronics and is the winner of the 2021 iF Design Award. The controller could also function as a way to play with games on the large screen as well.
