The Aram Bartholl Graphic Arrays exhibit offers a visual depiction of the way in which technology has evolved. The piece charts the development of the computer screen from the time of its inception up until now, allowing viewers to take in the progression of high definition resolution.
Bartholl has looked specifically at the course of the growth cycle over a series of 15 years. The right side of the display showcases formats from 1987 while the left side lays out the retina iPad. This creative juxtaposition shows just how far the screens have come, and at a remarkably rapid pace. These quick advancements have moreover set the tone for the future as much is to be expected of current tech products.
