Google Calendar will soon launch an update that will make virtual colleague dialogue much smoother. The update for the Google Calendar app will help prevent long-winded back-and-forth email conversations.
Google will integrate one of its Google Chat features directly into its Calendar app. This upgrade will allow users to quickly send a message to attendees of an upcoming meeting. The upgrade was designed to let coworkers instantly communicate if they are running late or if they need to share documents pre-meeting. The upgrade will help clear up the overload of email inbox notifications and ensure a pre-meeting message is immediately received.
The upgrade will only work for members of the same company and will launch on October 4.
