The Glowbelt is a special one-size-fits-all belt that is intended to provide maximum visibility to decrease the chances of accidents and collisions involving bikers, cyclists and night-time joggers.
The Glowbelt weighs 54 grams and is fitted with 13 high-power micro LEDs hooked up to a spring-loaded retractable fiber.Powered by a pair of coin cell batteries tat provide 60 hours of illumination, the device will be offered in blue, green and pink color varieties.
Wearers of the Glowbelt will be visible from distances as great as 200 meters, decreasing the likelihood of collisions. The number and distribution of LEDs on the device makes the human eye three times more likely to spot a person wearing the belt, when compared to conventional high-visibility clothing and accessories.
