Giambattista Valli presented its Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection in Paris with elegantly travel-inspired outfits and dreamy glitter masks. The fashion critics paid attention to the 1970s details, the Mongolian-style flip-flops and the mini dresses with thigh-high boots. However, what truly intrigued them were the eight models that carried themselves on the runway with "kaleidoscopic" glitter masks; the look gave a vivid dream-like 70s sparkle to the Fall 2018 RTW collection.
If one was to carefully deconstruct the above-the-neck embellishments, it would become evident that makeup artist Val Garland used a pigmented mixture of colors—including silver, fuchsia and rose gold—to create the glitter mask effect.
