Electric SUV Releases

Mercedes-Benz Will Produce an Electric Version of Its G-Class SUV

Mercedes-Benz announced that it will produce an electric version of its G-Class SUV. The announcement came from the company's CEO, Ola Källenius. An electric G-Class SUV follows the company’s current direction, as previously Mercedes-Benz stated that it would have electric versions of all of its cars by the year 2022.

Electric SUVs are often challenging to design and bring to consumer markets. This is due to the fact that changing the vehicle to run on a battery often increases its weight, and conventional SUVs are already heavy. However, the company stated that it will continue to work on the design of the car. Mercedes-Benz also considered eliminating the model but has since decided to continue to offer it.
