Tim Hortons is opening its first location in India in New Delhi as part of an exclusive agreement with 'Gateway Partners' and 'Apparel Group.' Following this initial restaurant, Tim Hortons has announced plans to open over 300 locations in India over the next decade.
Since Tim Hortons was founded in Canada in 1964, it has grown to become a multinational success, operating in over 14 countries. India marks the fourth country in the Asia Pacific region to host Tim Hortons restaurants. The president of RBI International, the parent company of Tim Hortons, stated that "India is one of the world's fastest-growing markets for coffee and tea retail chains and Tims is thrilled to be opening there soon." This means that the chain will be received well in India and will likely grow to its goal of operating hundreds of restaurants in the country in the coming years.
