A Chinese newlywed couple took gas mask wedding photos in black and white because of the country's out-of-control pollution problem. The two lovebirds created these eerie yet beautiful captures that are most definitely monumental and memorable for so many people. They took the gas mask wedding photos to shield themselves from Beijing's toxic smog.

Beijing isn't exactly an especially clean city but the toxic industrial clouds have been hovering over the city for some time now and it has forced the government to impose limits on factories and power plants. The number of particles is 20 times higher than acceptable norms.

The gas mask wedding photos come as no surprise because Beijing residents are being forced to wear dust masks to preserve their health. The couple decided to take these photos to show that the city where they got married is becoming toxic and uninhabitable.
