The Garmin inReach Mini 3 is a feature-rich update to the brand's satellite communication solutions that's engineered to offer adventurers and off-grid explorers alike a way to stay connected and safe from anywhere.

The device works by connecting to the brand's satellite communication network to enable communication in the form of text, photos and voice messaging. The device doesn't have a camera, but instead connects to smartphones through the Garmin Messenger app for handing multimedia as well as assisting with rescues when applicable.

The Garmin inReach Mini 3 is rated to support up to 350-hours of use per charge when sharing location every 10-minutes, while performance messaging mode will drop battery life down to about 95-hours. The device is available now for $499.99.
