Alber Elbaz of Lanvin paid homage to the 1940s when he sent his models down the runway with elegant feather hairpieces.
For Fall 2009, he used Parisian values as one of the big themes for his show. Elbaz even sent his models down a concrete runway which was designed to look like a plain street soaked with water. The results were were sober and chic.
Implications - Alber Elbaz was quoted saying, "people keep trying to divide designers into optimists and pessimists, but me—I'm a realist." The featured video features backstage moments, parts of the runway show and interviews with popular designers, hairstylists and celebs that have nothing but good things to say about the Lanvin Fall 2009 collection.
