Canadian chef Vikram Vij is producing a line of frozen curry dinners that give North American audiences a taste of authentic Indian cuisine. Canada is home to a wide variety of cultures and this multicultural influence has gradually changed the kind of foods Canadians are eating. These delicious curry dinners allow Canadians to enjoy traditional Indian cuisine in the comfort of their own home.
The pre-packaged meals are quick-frozen immediately after cooking in order to preserve the taste, texture and nutritional quality of each dish. The frozen curries can be placed in a pot of boiling water and cooked in as little as 20 minutes. The dishes come in 15 different flavors, including curried chickpeas, garam masala beef and Punjabi daal. The convenient dishes allow consumers to enjoy traditional Indian cuisine on the go and without needing to visit a restaurant.
The popularity of the frozen curry dinners demonstrate that Canadians want to enjoy international dishes at home and not just in a restaurant.
