Alcohol-Free Sparkling Wine Estates

French Bloom Acquired 25 Hectares of Vineyard and Winery Land

In the Southern French region where sparkling wine was born, French Bloom—the brand behind highly acclaimed alcohol-free sparkling wines—acquired a 25-hectare vineyard and winery. In September 2026, when the site becomes operational, it will become the first estate in the world dedicated to producing alcohol-free sparkling wine from its own winery and vineyard land. “We want to anchor our vision in a deeper connection with terroir and in a sustainable approach to alcohol-free sparkling wines. This new step marks an important moment for the Maison,” shared Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger, co-founder and CMO.

The demand for alcohol-free sparkling wines is increasing as consumers invest in quality and moderation, and with this move, French Bloom will craft alcohol-free sparkling wines that are complex, well-balanced and expressive thanks to the altitude of the Haute Vallée.

Terroir-driven Alcohol-free Wines
By emphasizing terroir and altitude, producers can create nonalcoholic sparkling expressions with distinct vineyard-driven flavor profiles that challenge commodity perceptions.
Estate-owned Nonalcoholic Production
Owning both vineyard and winery enables end-to-end control of grape selection and processing, opening possibilities for traceable, craft nonalcoholic labels.
Premium Moderation Movement
Consumers trading alcohol for quality are willing to pay a premium for complex, well-balanced zero-alc sparkling wines that mirror fine wine positioning.

Who This Affects Most

Winemaking and Vineyard Management
Specialized viticulture and harvest timing adapted for nonalcoholic production could require new grape varieties and canopy practices to optimize flavor without high sugar conversion.
Beverage Alcohol Alternatives
Innovations in dealcoholization, controlled fermentation, and flavor retention technologies present chances to produce expressive low- and no-alcohol sparkling beverages at scale.
Sustainable Luxury Goods
Combining provenance, sustainability, and premium branding creates a niche for luxury zero-alc offerings tied to estate narratives and eco-conscious credentials.
