Delta is Offering Free Pet Tracking to Flyers Travelling with Animals

Travelling with pets in tow can be a stressful experience for owners and animals alike, but this free pet tracking service from Delta will hopefully provide peace of mind. The airline wants to reassure passengers travelling with furry friends that their pets are taken care of and well-protected. This is in response to the fact that Delta Air Lines had 51 pet deaths in the last five years -- the highest of any airline. Their goal is now to bring that number down to zero.

Designed by Sendum Wireless Corp, the free pet tracking comes with the $50 fee to check pets. GPS tracking is available in 10 major cities in the United States and will keep flyers informed on the position, location and angle of their pet's transport crate. Sensors can also update on temperature.
