There are tons of packaged products that seem to be fully recyclable but in reality, it can be a challenge for packaging to get properly sorted when it comes to its individual components—and PaperSeal is being introduced to increase the recyclability of food trays. PaperSeal trays use about 80-90% paperboard and 10-20% film depending on the dimensions of the packaging. The paperboard component comes from renewable fiber that's sourced from sustainably managed forests and it can easily be separated from the film liner for recycling.
The tray packaging design creates a high-quality seal like a traditional plastic tray and has the potential to be used for everything from cheese and meat to frozen foods, salads or produce.
