As many of the businesses and restaurants on Toronto's King street feel that they've been negatively affected by the city's introduction of the King Street Pilot, the Ritual app is helping to bring them a little more foot traffic with a new promotion dubbed 'Food is King.'
The program runs from February 20th until March 4th, and provides users with a $15 credit to spend at one of the 40 business that are included along with stretch that the King Street Pilot affects.
Mayor John Tory explained the promotion by saying, "This is meant to promote people patronizing these businesses. It is designed to encourage more foot traffic on King Street and to drive incremental purchases to restaurants and food service establishments within the pilot area."
