Global Flag Designs

The 'Flags Edition' Imagines Illustrations for an All-Encompassing Banner

The ‘Flags Edition’ exhibition brings together 16 international artists and graphic designers to imagine a global flag.

Drawing from their own ideals, values and interpretations of the world, 16 flags were concocted to represent the globe. All flags but one come with an accompanying explanation for the design, which is certainly needed for some of the more abstract renditions of globalism. The world is so much more connected today with the help of technology. However, there are still strong divides of culture and understanding, which is reason for the importance of reinforcing global unity.

The gallery show took place in Frankfurt and was curated by three German designers: Arthur Ruppel, Christoph Tim Schneider, and Sebastian Zimmerhackl. They invite you to do away with traditional nationalism and submerge yourself in the prospect of ‘One World, One Love.’
