FIX Health’s The Outbreak App is Geared Toward Employee Health

FIX Health has launched a playful mobile application that brings the health of employees to the forefront. Titled 'The Outbreak,' the experience is team-based and is designed to drive up one's daily step count and weekly exercise minutes. Individuals using FIX Health's application are tasked with "surviving in the harsh world of a zombie outbreak." The theme of the undead is no coincidence. During R&D, the company discovered that "the incorporation of zombies drove players to take 37% more steps than themes involving aliens, sports heroes, or holiday characters."

Each week, the team starts at a new safe house and has to make its way across the game board through physical movement, unlocking new chapters in an ongoing story. In addition, when collaborating, teams gain combat bonuses and extra points.
