'Trim' first introduced itself to consumers as a financial assistant that can help save money by sharing account balances and spending alerts. Now, Trim is introducing a Google Chrome extension that is powered by artificial intelligence and boasts the ability to chat with customer service representatives to fight fees and lower bills.

Customers are able to supply their personal information to Trim so that the bot can get to work chatting with cable and Internet suppliers. To assure consumers that their information is safe, Trim remarks that it only stores user session logs.

Over time, the bot gets smarter and smarter. Currently, Trim is reporting a 70% success rate, with the bot managing to get an average savings of $10 monthly bills.
