In anticipation of the Christmas season, creamery Baskin-Robbins is offering an unconventionally frozen festive cake modelled after a traditional Yule log. The dessert is made entirely out of ice cream and it is a refreshing contrast in flavor and temperature from traditionally baked sweets served during the winter months.
The dessert is creatively decorated using ice cream and sweet toppings to look like a quintessential Yule log. The cake features chocolate sponge covered in chocolate icing to replicate the tree bark. The cake surrounds a creamy mint chocolate chip centre and is topped with white icing and edible holly decoration.
Despite the drop in temperatures, consumers are actively seeking food fare that reflects the climate of the season in their desserts.
