With the ever-growing threat of global warming, many are trying to actively reduce their carbon footprint and The Fenix 'ReadySet' Solar Kit is here to help. Creators Mike Lin (CEO) and Brian Warshawsky (COO) of Fenix International designed the ReadySet Solar Kit as a means to charge personal electronics such as the iPad, cellular phone, radios, lights and more.
Each kit comes with a ReadySet battery, 15-Watt solar panel, power adapter, 3-Watt LED light, two 12-volt car lighter adapter ports and two 5-volt USB ports.
The idea steamed from the increasing amount of personal electronic devices in Africa and the lack of electrical outlets to charge said devices. Not only does the Fenix ReadySet Solar Kit provide clean renewable energy from solar panels, bicycle generators and micro-wind turbines, but each unit sold in the U.S. will go towards efforts to stop poverty in Africa.
Mike and Brian started a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the development of the Fenix ReadySet Solar kit -- these types of products are just the beginning of a cleaner future.
