Boardlist is an Online Databank of Women Suited for Board Positions

— October 22, 2015 — Tech
This female board member databank has a collection of over 500 women who are ready and would be appropriate additions to boards of start-up companies in Silicone Valley. The past year has seen many campaigns and products to start getting young girls more involved in science and technology jobs. This is a step in the right direction, however BoardList founder Sukhinder Singh Cassidy believes that society doesn't have to wait. There are smart women in the field right now, who are just ready to be hired as a board member.

To curate this list of female board members, Cassidy does not choose the women herself but rather employs a rigorous process of asking for the opinions of 50 venture capitalists on who they would recommend to a start-up's board. For CEOs of start-ups, the members-only platform is free, while it charges venture capitalists who wish to use it.
