It is a vending machine specializing in robust salads that would appeal to many, even those hankering for a chocolate bar or burger instead. The Farmer's Fridge packs these leafy greens in sealed, recyclable containers in order to better promote their conscientiousness on various related levels.
Made fresh every morning, the salads are placed in the Farmer's Fridge by 10 am. Unsold salads are donated to a local food pantry. Founded by Luke Saunders, the automated refrigerated kiosks are currently only available in Chicago, Illinois.
