Osmo's Fantastic Food Truck is the newest addition to the Math Wizard Series and it teaches kids the basics of geometric through cooking with shapes. The curriculum-based content teaches first and second grade math skills with a magical adventure-driven game set in a fantasy world.
"To teach spatial reasoning and geometric thinking, we found that shapes naturally occur in foods and cooking," says Margot Herrman, VP of Marketing at Osmo, and this food truck concept inspires kids to get creative with their own cooking combinations. Geared towards kids ages six to eight, the after-school and remote learning activity challenges chefs to form pizzas, sandwiches, sushi, pastries and more using a playmat and 58 geometric tiles.
