These Falafel Tacos Celebrate Cultural Influences from Mexico

Chef Farid Zadi of Revolutionario Tacos created falafel tacos to be a globally inclusive dish. While traditional tacos combine a variety of flavors already, this particular dish boasts cultural aspects from locations across the globe.

A major influence behind these creative falafel tacos comes from South Africa. The dish begins with smoking a piece of brisket which has been massaged with a blend of North African spices. This meat will smoke for six hours before being torn apart and placed on a warm Mexican corn tortilla. The taco itself is fused with cultural influences that date back to the culinary exchanges of North Africa and Latin America. Additional ingredients such as chickpea tagine and cilantro yogurt chicken bring out a Spanish-inspired flavor fusion.

This delicious taco is served in a quaint eatery that contains miss-matched plates and little furniture. This allows consumers to fully immerse themselves in the dish and think less about the space.
