Facebook Pay Will Roll Out to United States Users This Week

Facebook is currently rolling out its Facebook Pay service for United States users this week. The company states that Facebook Pay will be compatible with almost all popular credit and debit cards, and also PayPal. Facebook also stated that it will launch similar payment services on Instagram and WhatsApp.

Facebook outlined that the payment service could have a number of important uses, including fundraisers, in-game payments, event tickets, as well as for business on Facebook Marketplace.

Deborah Liu Facebook's Vice President of Marketplace and Commerce spoke about the new payment feature, saying, "Facebook Pay is part of our ongoing work to make commerce more convenient, accessible and secure for people on our apps."
