Other World Computing, also known as OWC, has unveiled an innovative new external hard drive that is being touted as the fastest external drive ever made available on the market.
Dubbed the Thunderblade SSD, this particular external hard drive features an extremely solid design that doesn't just promise protection against bumps and bruises, but also guarantees rapid operation in very low and high temperatures. As far as speed is concerned, this external hard drive knocks it out of the park, with data transfer speeds of up to 2,900 megabytes per second in read more, and 2,450 megabytes per second for data writing.
Compact, rugged and exceptionally fast, the Thunderblade SSD looks to be a godsend for multimedia professionals who need to deal with huge amounts of data using heavy-load software.
