Jacob & Co. has unveiled its exclusive space-inspired timepiece, the Astronomia Revolution, as part of its 'Astronomia' collection. The inspiration for the timepiece's design derives from the concept of outer space, a passion of the brand's founder and chairman, Jacob Arabo.
The timepiece comes in a 46mm case made of sapphire and gold. The timepiece has a JCAM48B Calibre and a twin-axis flying tourbillon with a rotating dial. The timepiece consists of 18 hexagonal mirrors that mimic the ones on space exploration instruments. In addition, it has a small version of the James Webb Space Telescope's gilded reflectors. The polished mirrors are also crafted from 18-carat red gold. The timepiece only has 18 units made, with six of them made in a rose gold appearance and the other six made in white gold with black DLC coating. The timepiece is available for $600,000.
