Epic Games Has Announced Various Updates and Improvements

Epic Games posted its year-in-review for 2021 and announced a variety of Epic Store updates. One feature included in this update list is the ability for users to have a more in-depth personal profile. On most gaming platforms, such as Steam and Ubisoft+, players can customize their profile picture and various sections of their profile, such as a trophy showcase or a biography. On Epic, though, this feature is very barebones allowing for only the customization of the profile name.

This upcoming update will also improve upon the Epic store itself, adding features such as an in-platform shopping cart and better library organization. On top of this, Epic has announced that it will be continuing its promotion throughout 2022 where it offers all users a free game each week, and one free game each day for the 12 days surrounding the holiday period in December. As part of Epic Games' year-in-review, the company revealed that the total value of games available for free on the store throughout 2021 totaled $2,120 USD.
