Environmental graffiti is one way that artists around the world are raising awareness and advocating for the environment. Concern for the planet expresses itself in many points of view.

The Huffington Post has a slideshow of environmental graffiti on its site; some of the images are here, but more have been pulled from Flickr Commons to provide you with a better sampling of how the world's street artists are raising environmental awareness.

Implications - The use of graffiti and street art as a form of protest is nothing new, but the magnitude of causes and messages is continuously expanding as more and more artists venture into this form. One can't help but stop and stare at these thought-provoking, powerful and visually enticing artworks featured on an impactful medium that is unavoidable on daily walks.
