Colorful Book Walls

'Enclosed Content Chatting Away in the Colour Invisibility' Topples Over

The Enclosed Content Chatting Away in the Colour Invisibility art installation is giant wall built with over 3,500 colorful bound books. From afar, the wall looks like a French impressionist painting by Claude Monet. The blurred colors are slightly pixelated to create the romantic setting of a warm sunset, green forest and sparkling waters. Nevertheless, this abstract scene is simply imagined. Instead, the installation is meant to breathe new life into the found objects, which would have been disposed of permanently if not rescued by the artist.

Created by Netherlands-born Anouk Kruithof, the Enclosed Content Chatting Away in the Colour Invisibility art installation is nevertheless very unstable and completely temporary. Each exhibit plays a video loop that shows the wall tumbling down without fail. This is clearly a comment on time.
