Photographer Dona Schwartz has released an evocative series of empty nesting photography. Schwartz photographed numerous sets of parents standing in the rooms that once belonged to children who have since moved out. Some rooms have been preserved and some haven't, and this often reflects how parents fell about their kids leaving.
These empty nesting photos show how different parents react when children leave the family home and start living on their own. Some parent miss there kids and leave their bedrooms exactly as they were, full of old boy band posters, stuffed animals, anime and Obama cuttouts. Other parents quickly cut their losses and put the spare room to use as a gym, sewing room, home office, storage closet or guest bedroom.
