The ‘Email Habits of the Presidential Candidates’ infographic discusses the tactics both Presidential candidates are using to lure in voters. In comparison to each other, President Obama is using the first name of his constituent 98% more than opponent Romney is when emailing people. The infographic points out that connecting on a more personal level is definitely something that this accomplishes. Romney also mentions Obama 47% of the time, whereas Obama mentions Romney 25% of the time.
However, Romney’s administration responded to voters after approximately an hour, while Obama’s took 8 hours. Obama uses ‘Influential Democrats’ to sign off on emails—past examples include Sarah Jessica Parker, whereas Romney has yet to use another Republican as an email endorser.
