Replacing paper tags, British Airways is trying out new electronic bag tags. The new tags are smartphone compatible meaning that the owner can scan it to get information. Using your phone, you can check your flight details as well as the bag's destination.

In addition to being convenient, the tags are also reusable since the details can just be changed electronically. As a result, the electronic bag tags work to save both the environment and your time.

British Airways worked in conjunction with design agency Designworks to develop the tags. By using the electronic tag, British Airways is getting another step closer to modernizing airports. The tags are set to be trialed next month by the airway.
