Edonia and Newrest have announced a new partnership that will see the brands leveraging their expertise to provide customers with sustainable fare. Newrest will be utilizing Edonia's alt protein EDO that boasts a microalgae-based composition to achieve a range of taste and texture experiences for diners. The collaboration comes on the heels of the announcement from the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) that recommended the avoidance of soy-based options in catering due to isoflavones.
Managing Director France at Newrest Marc Giraud spoke on the partnership with Edonia saying, "This partnership with Edonia reflects our commitment to innovation and supporting the food transition in our clients’ kitchens. Our teams were impressed by EDO, an ingredient that is easy to work with, flavorful, and naturally rich in nutrients, and which integrates seamlessly into our recipes.”
