Virtual reality is no longer a technology for gamers but is instead being integrated into many different aspects of the market, so the HTC Vive Business Edition Headset comes as a logical next step for the brand. The headset -- or, HTC Vive BE as it's being referred to -- provides individuals and organizations with access to comprehensive equipment.
Customer support will be available for the headset along with a 12-month limited warranty with businesses capable of ordering multiple systems to be integrated in offices or retail environments.
The HTC Vive Business Edition Headset is set to be available for purchase for $1,200, which is roughly $400 more than the original headset retails for. The technology within the headset is the same as the consumer edition, so organizations are paying more for the enhanced support.
