'The Kiss at Times Square' is considered to be one of the top ten most beautiful black-and-white photos in the world, and it's one 90-year-old Edith Shain remembers fondly.
Edith Shain is the woman from that famous photo, and traveled back to NYC to celebrate Veterans Day and recreate the romantic embrace more than six decades later with a new man. The lucky recipient was 25-year-old Nick Mayo, who plays the role of sailor Richard West in Broadway's "South Pacific."
A beautiful walk down memory lane for Edith, she laughed and chatted with the men all day. "The end of the war was a wonderful experience," Shirk told the NY press, "and that photo represents all those feelings."
