A soft and wild dye job is the latest innovation in hair fashion. Labelled 'Macaroon Hair,' this manic pixie hairdo is inspired by a box of multicolored macaroons.

For years, hairstylists, trendsetters and beauty innovators have been coming up with wild hair color combinations to decorate their tresses. With dye jobs inspired by outer space, sand, sunsets and even rainbows, multicolored hair is a style staple most beauty fans have grown accustomed to. Coined by hair colorist Shelley Gregory, the macaroon hairdo is inspired by the iconic Ladurée pastry shop, located in Paris.

The look features seven colors which include blue, mint green, peach, pink, purple, silver and yellow. Wearers of this style can braid their hair to display how the colors interlock to create a vibrant landscape or let their hair down for a waterfall of pretty pastel hues.
