ION's Duo Deck Turntable Lets You Take Vintage Music on the Go
Andrew Sztein — February 7, 2013 — Pop Culture
Vinyl records are making one heck of a comeback in recent years and it's with that popularity in mind that ION released its Duo Deck turntable. This unique little device is all about taking your vintage on the go. Not only is it pretty much more portable than the records it plays, but it plays cassette tapes too. That means you can resurrect your old Queen and Michael Jackson mix tapes.
Since the dimensions of the device are pretty small, the record actually turns outside the edges of the player. The only power source needed to operate the Duo Deck is a USB connection. This means you can use your laptop as a portable battery pack for the player if you want to listen to records in a public setting.
If the Duo Deck is too large for you, then ION has released a smaller version called LP2GO that does away with the cassette deck in favor of smaller dimensions. Who wouldn't want to listen to the vinyl Dark Side of the Moon on a Duo Deck on the go?
