Duration Brewing is taking its Duck Series UK-wide with a three-day rollout that puts the full set into pubs, bars and bottle shops at once. The Norfolk brewer is using Ducks in a Row, from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8, to give drinkers outside its home area a single weekend to try the beers side by side.
More than 30 independent venues are involved, from Glasgow to Bristol, including Duration's taproom in West Acre. The series began in 2024, and Rubber Ducky is its first cask-only Duck beer. It appears as a 4.4% pale ale at selected sites, while Eider adds an 8% double IPA.
More than 30 venues turn the range into a coordinated craft-beer event, giving independent operators a shared draw for the same weekend. The cask-only Rubber Ducky also makes the series easier to place in bars that want a release built for cask service.

What Makes This Trend Stand Out
- Coordinated Beer Drops
- Simultaneous multi-venue releases create scarcity and shared excitement while giving regional brewers a scalable way to reach new drinkers without relying on national retail chains.
- Character-led Beer Series
- Themed product families, such as duck-branded craft beers, turn individual releases into collectible experiences that can strengthen loyalty and encourage side-by-side tasting.
- Cask-exclusive Releases
- Limited beers designed specifically for cask service give pubs a differentiated format that supports traditional service while adding novelty to modern craft offerings.
Sectors Adopting This
- Craft Brewing
- Regional brewers can expand awareness through synchronized launches that make small-batch ranges feel like destination events across multiple markets.
- Independent Hospitality
- Pubs, bars and bottle shops benefit from shared promotional moments that drive foot traffic and position independent venues as discovery hubs.
- Alcohol Retail
- Bottle shops and specialty retailers gain new merchandising potential from themed beer sets that encourage bundled purchases and comparative tasting occasions.
