The Lunar New Year, which takes place on February 1st, celebrates the Year of the Tiger and Dr. Martens is commemorating the holiday with the launch of a new Lunar New Year collection. The new capsule includes the 1460 boot and the 1461 shoe, both having been reworked with camo-inspired tiger patterns.
According to the brand, "the tiger is a symbol of leadership, respect, and courage. The tiger acts assertively, is energetic, outspoken and takes risks." The shoes are enhanced with laser etching and flocking details as well as hidden botanical graphics and tiger motifs. As always, each pair is stitched onto a tough Dr. Martens sole and finished with the iconic yellow welt stitch. The limited-edition collection includes a faux gold tiger tooth lace charm, gold eyelets and a popped red sock liner.
