The material has been put through an intensive process to make it ready for high-quality footwear construction, which includes milling, weaving and pairing with a water-based PU coating.
The Dr. Martens Genix Nappa Collection is priced ranging from $140 to $170 and comes as part of the brand's commitment to crafting all of its footwear with 100% sustainable materials by the year 2040.
