The DoorBot Allows People to Answer the Door Remotely

— March 8, 2013 — Tech
Physically answering the door can be either inconvenient or dangerous, depending on the time of day and who is home to do it; the DoorBot provides a great solution. The DoorBot is essentially a smart doorbell that allows people to answer the door using their smartphone. Connected to the phone via a battery operated Wifi video camera, the DoorBot lets people see and converse with whoever is standing outside their door.

In a nutshell, the DoorBot enables people to screen their visitors as they would a phone call. Once they have determined who is calling on them, they can choose to answer or not. The DoorBot has even created a partnership with Lockitron to allow friends and family into the home when the resident isn't there.
