Do Something is a social impact organization working on a crisis text line that will connect teens at risk of suicide, rape or self-harm with crisis counselors.
Thus far, DoSomething.org has served as an awareness network working to expand its teen membership carrying out weekly national awareness campaigns on various issues and acts as a unique vehicle to get tweens and teens interested in social issues through their technology.
Currently, chief program officer Anastasia Goodstein collaborating with partner organizations on enabling the connections necessary to provide crisis counseling. The chief program officer also envisions the texting network as a means to creating a complex data set that could be analyzed in order to seek out preventative efforts for common teen depression issues.
