The Dior Spring 2013 collection runway show was a glimpse into the magical world of haute couture. The runway was converted into a whimsical garden covered in trimmed greenery.
This show marks newly appointed Raf Simons debut couture collection with Dior. The luxury French label has undergone many alterations, but even sans Galliano was able to pull off a fluid and fabulous show. Highlights from the luxurious and delicate collection included a deep-v blood orange cocktail number, a bejeweled side panel soft pink dress and a striped strapless showstopper gown. The runway presentation was flawless and the haute couture was elegant and sophisticated.
The collection was not outlandish, but pretty. Simons is reformatting the label with softness and his delicate touch. The Dior Spring 2013 collection was respectable and a job well done.
