Juxtaposing Era Couture

The Dior Haute Couture Fall 2014 Collection is Inspired by Time

Fusing the past with the near future, the Dior Haute Couture Fall 2014 collection -- which was recently shown in Paris -- is an artistic explosion and the work of Artistic Director of Christian Dior Raf Simons.

The eclectic new collection has a theme of time and delicately plays with different fashions across the decades and gives them the ultimate modern twist. The Belgian designer revved up the drama and flair for the Dior Haute Couture Fall 2014 collection, which features 18th century inspired gowns that cinch at the waist, futuristic and utilitarian baggy jumpsuits, daytime dresses and long, sweeping coats and tailored pants.

“I was interested in the process of finding something extremely modern, through something very historical; particularly through a juxtaposition of different themes,” says Simons.
