Designer Julien Rivoire Reimagines Instagram as a Video Game

French art director and designer Julien Rivoire has shared a new concept project that reimages Instagram as a handheld gaming device, complete with a foldable case and controls.
Like the social platform's updated logo, the conceptual gaming device boasts a colorway that combines hues of pink, orange, and purple in a stylish gradient design. In place of the usual game controls one might expect, the device features a selection of buttons that emulate Instagram's key functions. These are shown on the buttons with matching icons, with Instagram's direct message, like, save, and comment symbols included on them. A mini screen also spotlights the platform's branding, which is made to look like a retro loading page.
