The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 5 digital jukebox is the ultimate in this year's entertainment electronics. It stores up to 28,000 songs (or 500 GB) so you can dance with your guests all night without having to worry about disc changes! And, to give a modern update to old school jukeboxes, it displays each album cover on a digital display. It's winning attribute, however, is most certainly its slender, non-intrusive aesthetic.

"Its proprietary MOTS technology (which is an acronym for 'More of the Same') scans your music selection and picks out similar tracks based on parameters such as rhythm, syncopation, key tonality, and vocal harmonies – similar to Apple’s Genius application albeit more detailed and accurate," Luxury-Insider explains.

When we introduced you to the BeoLab 4 Speakers back in January 06, we thought those were smoking, but the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 5 is the new techie apple of our eye.

It's not expected to hit shelves until May 2009, so it's not the ideal Christmas present, but if it's in the monetary cards, I'd say this one is worth waiting for.
